Preferred Builders of Watertown recently made a charitable donation towards the facility upgrades to the Watertown Indoor Pool. These upgrades will once again allow the facility to be used for competitive swimming meets. It was through a private donation that the City of Watertown decided to take up the project to increase the pool depth, install permanent starting blocks, upgrade to a hard wired timing system, and other improvements to the facility.
The pool, originally built in 1978 through a combination of public, private and business donations, is Watertown’s only public indoor pool. Since 2003, Watertown High School and USA Swimming Swim Club Meets have been unable use the facility to host competitive swim meets due to the depth restriction.
Preferred Builders of Watertown is proud to support Watertown High School Athletics and the Watertown Aquatic Team with this improvement to their facility.
